For some reason, when I plugged in my ethernet cord, my local area connection was stuck acquiring the network address. I've tried a lot of things to resolve this issue. First I installed a new driver for the Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller and this did not work.

After cleaning with Malwarebytes it is stuck at acquiring network address. If i force a static IP address I am able to ping by IP works. I am unable to ping by name. nslookup is unable to get a response from google dns. I am able to get documents from a local server via IP address. Stuck at Acquiring Network Address | NotebookReview
